Every dancer who's crazy about tango wants a DJ who can match their crazy with devotion to tango music. If you're that kind of crazy, then James "el locOH" is your kind of DJ. As the name implies, James is certifiable. Not only will he mastermind an exquisite playlist, he'll also toil over his impressive collection of remastered tunes searching for the winning track, and engineer every detail of the sound quality to get you lost in the music. And don't let his perfectly-crafted D'Arienzo and Biagi tandas fool you, James always has his pulse on the dancefloor and will expertly balance mood and melody to satisfy all of your Golden Age desires. Bring your most padded shoes to this milonga, because when James is spinning you won't be able to leave the ronda.
Tommy discovered tango in early 2012 and immediately became obsessed. Since then his love for exploring both the technical and emotional facets of tango has grown. DJ tango is one of his favorite facets of the dance; he DJ'd his first event 6 months after having started dancing, and hasn't looked back.
Tommy believes understanding the mind of the social dancer is the key to great DJing. He has a simple mantra: OPB (Only Play Bangers!) To educate and motivate beginning DJs, progressing DJs, and those interested in tango music, he offers semi-regular DJ workshops. Events he has DJ'd at include DC’s Tango Holiday, Marathon Z, Portland Tangofest, Tango on the Rocks, and Austin Spring Tango.

Richard Frisart lives in Haarlem, The Netherlands. He has been dancing tango since 2010, and began tango DJing in 2015. Richard has DJ'd at milongas, festivals, marathons and encuentros. He DJd in all major cities in The Netherlands, and in places like Antwerp (Belgium), Copenhagen (Denmark), Hamburg (Germany), Paris (France) - and on several occasions in Buenos Aires as well. This festival is his debut in the US.
His objective is simply to get and keep the dancers on the floor, and make them happy. His sets are well-balanced, with a mix of rhythmical and lyrical tangos, rooted in the golden age of tango. He's known for using cortinas that keep the energy going.
Richard has his own YouTube channel, Tango Music Tutorials, and together with Chris Zaal he does a monthly radio program on the Concertzender in The Netherlands, 'Tangos Despreciados'.
Next to being a tango DJ, Richard also hosts a local milonga in his hometown Haarlem: Milonga de los Amigos.
Vania began DJing tango in New York City in 2008, and over the years her musical taste and DJ style continue to evolve. Her greatest strength as a DJ is to relate to and play for dancers with wide spread experience and skill levels, an ability made possible by her work as a tango teacher since 2002. Aside from hosting/DJing the monthly Milonga ‘Uno’ in Austin, TX, Vania travels regularly to teach and DJ tango around the world, from Buenos Aires to all over North America and Europe.
My Tango journey began in 2011 when I first heard the music at a friends’ house. The Golden Era music had me from the start, and was what actually what drew me into tango.
I began Djing our own small milongas & local practica's in 2015. Since that time, the love of tango music has lead to collaboration with Tango Tunes - Christian Xello, a respectable 6th place overall in the 2019 Remolino Tango DJ competition, Tango Celebration in Bruges Belgium, Maja and Marko workshop weekend in Florida ,San Miguel Tango Festival Mexico, the Portland Tango Festival, Milonga Del Barrio in New York, and many tango events throughout the US and Southeast.
I enjoy playing music that beckons dancers to the floor tanda after tanda, and I look forward to seeing & feeling the flow of energy within a milonga and tango weekend. It is a beautiful thing to share this love of tango music.
